Flavor of Kroger ice cream recalled for nut allergy

A flavor of Kroger brand ice cream has been recalled because it contained tree nuts that were not listed on the package.
Officials say that people with the nut allergy can suffer potentially life threatening injury. The brand is Kroger Deluxe Chocolate Paradise Ice Cream and it is only harmful to people who suffer from nut allergies.
The product was sold in 48 ounce containers with a “sell by” of January 24, 2011. The ice cream was sold and distributed in 17 different states including Virginia, West Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas and Ohio.
