A truck accident on W. Va 16 caused a spill of a non-hazardous liquid material that backed up traffic for hours while emergency crews work to clean up the site.
According to officials, a tractor-trailer that was carrying multiple 250-gallon containers of silylated polyurethane resin lost control and overturned spilling the liquid all over the roadway.
Highway patrol and the fire department responded to the scene to clean up the spill and to redirect traffic. The condition of the driver is unknown at this point, but he did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. The Environmental Protection Agency was notified of the spill after the road was closed for more than two hours.
